  • Do I need travel insurance?

Although it is not mandatory, we recommend that you use travel insurance just in case.

  • Do I need a visa to visit Greece?

In order to visit Greece, it is highly recommended to have a look at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for all the required documents.

  • What’s the average price for booking a room/apartment during the summer period?

It depends on the time of your visit and the type of the accommodation.

  • Which is the best season to visit Greece?

Even though Greece is known as a summer destination, during the whole year there are sunny days. The average temperature during the winter is 15°C and during the spring is 23°C. 

  • What’s the weather like during the summer?

The climate of Greece is Mediterranean so there are hot summers and mild winters. The highest temperature during the summer is 35°C and it’s highly recommended to bring a hat and sunscreen.

  • What if I lose my passport/ID? 

Before every trip, we will recommend you to have a copy of your passport and ID. In case of loss, you should report this to the nearest police station and then you should contact the Embassy.

  • What Safety precautions are being taken due to COVID-19?

In addition to following all Greek Department of Health guidelines, we are working closely with the Ministry of Health and the City of Athens to ensure all private tours and transfers meet or exceed all recommended health and safety standards. All of the staff will be wearing appropriate personal protective equipment during the tours. Guests and tour staff will be required to practice social distancing.

  • What’s the current situation in Greece?

Since there weren’t a lot of casualties in Greece during the pandemic, it was one of the first countries to openly call ‘’safe’’ for travel. 

Remember though, we take a lot of measures in order for our clients to get the most out of this experience. 

A pair of gloves and a mask are highly recommended during your visit in Greece.

  • Can I pay by credit card?

Yes, we offer credit card payments with our payment partner. You may pay by MasterCard and VISA.

  • How can I book a tour/transfer?

You can book our tour offers right from the website and reserve them there. 

If you wish a tailor-made tour, you can send us an email and we will be happy to create an itinerary for you. To make sure a tour is available, we recommend to book as early as possible.

  • I cannot get my discount, what should I do?

Make sure to do the reservation with the same e-mail and if it’s still this problem you can contact us via email.

  • Is my payment secured?

Of course.  By using our secure online payment system, your payment information is encrypted.

  • How do I know that my reservation went through?

You will receive an email upon finalizing your reservation. However, sometimes it takes a bit more time. Make sure you check your spam folder.

  • Is there a booking reference number?

Since all of our tours are private we do not require any booking reference number.

  • Is there any discount on the second tour? 

Book a second tour with us and get 10% off the total price. Please be aware to do the reservation with the same e-mail. 

  • What about a tailor-made tour?

Whether it’s a Transfer or a Tour we recommend making an online reservation. 

We may ask you to pay online a 10% or 20% surcharge depending on your tour or transfer.

You can also pay in cash or credit card at the start of the tour or transfer.

For more complexed tours we require a prepayment which you will be asked to pay during the agreement of our proposing itinerary and terms.

 Please note that the prepayment can range from 10% to 100% depending on the tour.

  • In which languages do the tours take place?

At the moment we offer our tours in English and Greek.

  • Does the Tour Guide/Driver accept gratuities?

Gratuities are greatly appreciated if we exceed your expectations, however, they are not mandatory. We also love reviews on TripAdvisor, Yelp or on our Facebook page in order for other travellers to learn about us.

  • Are the tips and gratuities included in the price?

No. Tips for the guides & drivers are not included. However, you are more than welcome to tip if they have met your expectations.

  • Do we get out of the Van?

Although we ride in style in our Mercedes vans, we are definitely not a “van tour. We tour around the city of Athens and get out several times so you can experience what you’re seeing.

  • How can I book a tour?

  • When do you offer tours?

We offer our tours all year round in all weather and even on the holidays.

Whether it’s a Food, Walking or any other Tour they are all private which means only you and your group will share the experience.

If you wish to change the tour route, skip parts of the walk with transportation.

In all of our private tours and transfers, a pick up from your hotel or apartment is included, as well as your drop off. All the parking fees, fuel and tolls, taxes, a bottle of water for each passenger and baby seat, upon request are also included. 

  • What’s excluded in the tour price?

 Entrance fees to the places visited on the tour such as Archaeological sites and museums, your personal expenses and the professional licensed tour guide (upon request). 

  • Do I need a passport/ID during the tour?

Although you do not need to have your passport with you during a tour in Athens it is recommended that you at least have a photocopy of your passport with you at all times.

Since the new regulations concerning arrivals and departures, your passport details will be asked by us prior to your arrival in order to provide it to the Greek Ministry of Transportation. 

  • How can I get a discount at museums/archaeological sites?

In order to see if there are any discounts and special rates, you are recommended to visit the official website of each museum/archaeological site that you wish to visit. 

  • How do I recognise the tour guide/leader/driver?

Upon your arrival at the airport, our driver or your tour guide will be holding a sign with our company’s logo with your name on it.

  • Is there any discount on the second tour? 

Book a second tour with us and get 10% off the total price. Please be aware to do the reservation with the same e-mail. 

  • What’s the moderate body condition, in order to attend the tours?

Although our tours contain a bit of walking you are not required to be in perfect shape to take them.

  • Are the tours suitable for handicapped people? 

Unfortunately, our Vans are not wheelchair accessible. About visits, like Acropolis, or other museums, there are ramps that can make every visit accessible. 

  • Who can attend the tour? Are there any age restrictions?

Everyone is welcome to attend the walking tour as there are no age restrictions with the exception that during our visits people under the age of 18 will not be given any alcohol during the visits to the local breweries.

  • Can I bring/eat food/beverages in the van? 

Yes, you can bring your own food and beverages in the van but it is not recommended eating during any tour or transfer due to safety regulations.

  • What time do I need to show up before my tour?

We kindly ask our clients to arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour start time.

  • Why am I asked for personal information, like passport number or flight number when I book a transfer for the airport?

Since the new regulations concerning arrivals and departures, your passport details will be asked by us prior to your arrival in order to provide it to the Greek Ministry of Transportation. 

Please note that no credit cards will be asked. 

  • How will I recognize my driver?

Your driver will be waiting for you at the airport, after the baggage claim, will be holding a sign with our company’s logo with your name on it.

  • What if my flight has delay? 

There is a free of charge waiting at the airport for 60 min. But it’s highly recommended in case you know about the delay, to get in contact with us via e-mail. 

  • What if my boat has delay?

There is a free of charge waiting at the port for 45 min. But it’s highly recommended in case you know about the delay, to get in contact with us via e-mail. 

  • What if I have an infant?

In case you have an infant it’s strongly recommended to get in contact with us, in order to get transferred securely. Infants are free of charge.

  • Which dates are the museums free?

Most museums in Athens are free on the first Sunday of the month from November to March.

  • What time is the first entrance in the Acropolis of Athens?

The first entrance is at 08:00 and the last at 19:30.

  • How much is the cost of the entrance fee in Acropolis of Athens?

If you haven’t purchased the combined ticket, then, the admission fee is: 

20€ for adults over 25 years of age from April 01 to October 31

10€ for adults over 25 years of age from November 01 to March 31

10€ for non-European youth up to 25 years old (with valid proof of age and nationality) all year round

10€ for seniors (over 65 years old) from the EU (with ID or passport) all year round

  • How can I pay the Acropolis ticket?

You can purchase the tickets online or get them the same day of your tour.

  • Would the Acropolis ticket include the ancient Agora?

No, the Acropolis ticket which costs 20€ per adult (April 1st to October 31st) and 10€ per adult (November 1st to March 31st) is valid only for the Acropolis and only for one entry. 

  • Is there a combo ticket?

The combo ticket is available at the cost of 30€. It is valid for 5 days and includes entrance to the Acropolis and 6 more Archaeological sites: Temple of Zeus, Ancient Agora, Roman Agora, Hadrian’s Library, Keramikos Cemetery and Lyceum of Aristotle.

  • Which dates can I visit Acropolis of Athens for free?

Entrance is free to all visitors on the following days:

  • 6 March (Memory of Melina Mercouri)

It is possible to see the  4hr Highlights tour combined with a romantic sunset on the Temple of Poseidon.

  • I have a stopover in Athens for some hours, what can I do?

If you are visiting Athens, for just a few hours, we have the best solution to visit the highlights. Don’t forget that you can get a discount by booking a roundtrip transfer to the airport. If you wish to combine it with another sightseeing tour we are happy to assist you depending on your request.

 

Walking and Food tours.

 
  • How much walking do the tours involve?

Our 4-hour tours usually involve around 3km (2 miles) of walking.

All tours usually include a coffee break, full-day tours also include a lunch break. Note that your personal expenses, during these breaks, are not included in the price.

If you have mobility issues, please contact and inform us through email so we can design the tour specifically to your needs.

Since we only do private tours you can go at your own pace and request to stop whenever you want. Please note that the duration of the walking tour is 4 hours and we can extend that by approximately 30 minutes. 

  • What should I bring to the tours?

Please come in comfortable shoes. Greece gets 300 days of sunshine during the year so cover up or put some sunscreen on. 

  • Are the options vegetarian?

Yes, the options are also vegetarian and vegan. 

  • Are the options vegan?

  • What type of foods are served during the tour?

The breakfast of the tour will be a traditional kind of bread, named koulouri. Then for as a lunch option, will be souvlaki/gyros and as the sweet moment, you will taste loukoumades with honey. 

  • If I have allergies to whom do I get contact with?

We strongly advise you to contact us if you have a food allergy as soon as you make a reservation in order for us to provide you with the best possible solution. 

  • How many hours is the walking tour?

The duration of the walking tour is 4 hours, including the stops that we will eat.

  • Can I buy souvenirs during the walking tour?

During our visits, you can do souvenir shopping although you are not required to. At the end of the tour, you will be provided with information about the shops you visited in order for you to go back.

  • Can I abandon the group before the end of the walking tour?

You can abandon the tour before the end of it. Bear in mind though that  you will be asked to make full payment before the start of the tour.

  • Do you use a headset during the walking tour?

Since all of our tours are private and small (normally up to 10 people) you will not be required to use a headset as the tour guide will have immediate contact with you.

  • How many people in your groups?

The groups are small and the maximum capacity is up to 10  people.

  • Who can attend the walking tour? Are there any age restrictions?

Everyone is welcome to attend the walking tour as there are no age restrictions with the exception that during our visits people under the age of 18 will not be given any alcohol during the visits to the local breweries.

  • Is there a parking space near the meeting point?

Although the meeting point is set on Syntagma square there is a parking space not too far.  It is located approximately 100m away.

  • How do I get to the meeting point?

Our meeting point is set directly in front of the fountain on syntagma square.

  • What if I don’t want to eat the food, would I purchase a ticket?

Unfortunately, we cannot make any discount, because besides the food tasting is a walking tour, with a group leader.

  1. What if the weather it’s not good, would the tour take place?

In the rare occasion that rains on the day of your tour, there is not much to worry about! We recommend you to wear appropriate shoes for that weather.

At the end of your cooking lesson, you will eat what you have prepared.

Although most of our sampling is Gluten-free there it is recommended that you inform our instructor before the start of the tour.

  • Is the food also for vegetarian? 

We have a big variety of food in order to cover all of your needs. If you are vegetarian or if you have other diet preferences, let us know.

  • Do I need to have experience in cooking?

You don’t need to be an experienced chef in order to create a greek meal. However, you may be required to use your good mood and humour.

  • What should I bring for the cooking lesson?

Our cooking lessons are for amateurs so therefore all you need to bring with you is good mood and opa!

  • Is it a hands-on activity?

During the cooking lesson, you will also be able to use your hands. Our instructors will give you clear instructions for the preparation of the recipes. Furthermore, you can bring your own notebook to take notes, otherwise, we will send you via e-mail the recipe you have prepared. By using less paper, you can reduce your impact on forests, cut energy use and climate change emissions, limit water, air and other pollution and produce less waste.

  • Should I pay for the whole cooking course even if I don’t eat?

Unfortunately, there is no discount on lower price in case you don’t want to eat because this tour is mainly a cooking lesson, not a food taste.
